Harry Potter Tag

I found out about the Harry Potter tag on bloggerbythesea.com. I knew I had to do this because I am a huge Harry Potter fan (of the books, not so much the movies). It literally shaped my perspective of literature and it ignited my passion for books, so I will forever be a fan.

Q & A

HOPES & FEARS

  • What house are you in? Ravenclaw according to Pottermore. I personally think I’m a mixture of Slytherin and Ravenclaw.
  • What is your Patronus? A lion. Lions have always had a very special place in my heart.
  • What is your wand? I have no idea. I’m might have to visit Ollivander to find out.
  • What would your boggart be? Not being able to travel, stuck in the same place my whole life without any adventures.
  • What position would you play in Quidditch? This is an interesting one. I think I’d actually like to be a Beater.

A HALF-BLOOD PRINCESS

  • Would you be a pure-blood, half-blood, or muggle born? Half-blood.
  • What job would you want to have after leaving Hogwarts? Something that would allow me to travel the world. Maybe look for some more fantastic beasts, see if Newt missed any.
  • Which of the deathly hallows would you choose?  The invisibility cloak, of course. Imagine how handy it would be at the airport, going through security (you know I’m a digital nomad when I make even the Harry Potter tag about travel)

ON PAPER & SCREEN

  • Favourite book? Prisoner of Azkaban. Because most of my favorite characters were introduced there and we got to learn about the Maurauders.
  • Least favourite book? The Deathly Hallows. Maybe it was the no Hogwarts thing (well, not in the classical sense, I know we get to Hogwarts in the end). Or maybe just the fact that I knew it was the last one.
  • Favorite film? Deathly Hallows. Funny, I know! But I just felt these two were really well done. Except for the scene with Voldie’s death. That sucked. He should’ve simply died like a human, not disintegrate.
  • Least favorite film? Oh boy. Like I said in the beginning, I was not a fan of the movies, they just lacked so much. If I must pick one I will go with Chamber of Secrets.

POTTER PEOPLE

  • Favorite character? At first sight, Remus Lupin. After reading the end, Severus Snape. Actually, I think it’s a nice tie between the two.
  • Least favorite/ most hated character? Dolores Umbridge & The Dursleys.
  • Favorite teacher at Hogwarts? Remus Lupin and from the long-term teachers, McGonagall.
  • Least favorite teacher at Hogwarts? Dolores Umbridge, of course.

AND FINALLY…

  • Do you have any unpopular opinions about the series? I think the fact that I didn’t really love Deathly Hallows (the book) is quite unpopular.

I won’t tag anyone, but if you are a Potterhead you can consider yourself tagged and try this. It’s fun!

Loved reading this! I am obsessed with Harry Potter and definitely have to find out which house I’m in. I love both the books and the films, I remember watching the first one when I was younger and thinking it was amazing 😊 X

Seconded about Deathly Hallows, you’re right, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but you nailed it – what’s Harry Potter without Hogwarts? Though it ties with Order of the Phoenix as being my least favourite (Sirius!! 😭)

    Yay! You did it.
    It’s irresistible, isn’t it?
Like me, you prefer the books. There’s so much missing from the films – not enough time to cram it all in, I know.

I loved reading your answers. I got sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore. But I’ve always thought I was more of a Hufflepuff 😹 I’m definitely going to do this tag.
